Where Are You This Christmas?

It’s Christmas and you are not here. How do you expect us to celebrate this year Christmas with tears gushing out of my eyes as we seat endlessly waiting and hoping that we will once again behold your glamorous face radiating like the sun rays beyond the horizon. For that is where the hearts of your love one’s are now since you were abducted and forcefully taken from them, from home, from your family. But, we know beyond all reasonable doubt that you are still alive and you will come back home. we can feel your heart beat even though when we reach out my arms to catch you, to embrace you and to protect you yet you are far beyond our reach. Where are you? Where are you?

Above is the picture of the young pretty lady by name Sarah John (Awa) Final year accounting student of University of Maiduguri that was abducted by Boko Haram alongside 15 others On the 14th of October 2017, you were abducted along the Chibok Damboa road together with others whom we know their families still bear the agony of the sad event. Days pass by without the sight of you. Nights after night we long for your smiles but none come to us. But, today you are not home. Where are you? Where are you?

We cry for help but our voice got faded in the wind. This storm is boisterous and I wander if we can scale through. The governments do not seem to give impetus towards your rescue. They have never for once issue any statement that would give us hope and assurance all they do is budgeting N 1 billion for the fight against Boko Haram that they declared technically defeated.

we cry every night as we look to the sky, as we look up to God who is our hope, our refuge and a friend in times like this. We pray to Him every day that He keep you and protect you. We pray that God will give you the grace to remain faithful wherever you are.

It’s Christmas when everywhere is red and every heart is full of love. It’s Christmas when families gather around the tree and share gifts. It’s Christmas and you have to be at home: where are you? Where are you?
